My aim is to get 100 women cycling the Manchester 100 cycle sportive event on 4th September 2011 and sharing that 100/100 glow and today, 1st August we have 98 women signed up and we still have 5 weeks to go. I believe it will be the first time 100+ women have gathered together with their bikes in South Manchester. I would like this to be an inspirational moment for women and girls with aspirations of being a bigger cyclist!
You have to want it….
- That deep sense of satisfaction and slightly smug 'didn't I do well' attitude
- That glow from the inside outwards with one of those smiles that stretches your facial muscles
- The experience that has you on Twitter saying 'OMG just cycled 100miles or kilometres'
- The one where you ask how many calories was that and think now I can eat and drink whatever I fancy
- Add to the glow and raise £100 for Christies.

Go for it Glynis - I definitely want to be one of the hundred. I did the Cheshire 100 for the first time last year, and was amazed that I could do it; and delighted to get a certificate for riding it in less than 8 hours! Looking forward to the training sessions.

Hi
ReplyDeleteI would like to join you. I did the 100 last year (the 100KM) and would love to progress to the 100 miles this year. I was proud of myself even though it took all day! The Christie is a great charity to ride for too.
